PPSL District Heating MD Ben Leach today said that the future of heat networks in the North East will lead the way for the industry across the UK.
Speaking at the Warm Homes Summit at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, Ben said the North East was proving the transformative potential of heat networks for both communities and the economy.
The event brought together local authorities, heat network developers, training providers, installers and investors to help shape the future of heat in the North East – unlocking innovation, partnerships and place-based progress.
Ben said: “The plans for the region presented by the local authorities are exciting for the industry, showing how heat networks will provide low carbon reliable heat.
“Importantly, they will also create a wide range of opportunities for local people in the North East in both training and employment, with plans for schemes to be delivered by local people.
“It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to showcase the work CPC Civils and PPSL District Heating are doing in the North East alongside a range of thought provoking speakers who all came together to back this game changing industry.”
